Phil Ornstien

It is with great sadness that I report Phil Ornstien died on October 28th in Auckland.  Phil has been a very enthusiastic member of the Classic Motoring Society of New Zealand right from the start and has been on a great number of our events over the years.

The first time I got an inkling of his enthusiasm for car events was in 1998 when he drove down in his fabulous Mercedes for a day run through Lees Valley with the club.  I think that one of the main attractions was the river crossing that was involved!

We will all miss his enthusiasm and joy on our adventures.
