Tony Childs, who brought us up to date with “Historic Kaiapoi”, is putting together a new venture for us. Meet in the Princess Margaret Hospital car park, Christchurch at 10.30am for an expedition up into North Canterbury.
Bring your picnic lunch as we’ll be having a break at the historic Cheviot Hills homestead site. If the weather is inclement there is a backup plan!
We’ll be visiting Lyndsay Dickson who has a very tidy lifetime collection of machinery and collectibles and we’ll round out the day by returning via Cheviot and Gore Bay to the Brick Mill Café at Waikuku on SHW 1.
